We went to see Dr. Zarbock bright and early this morning for his check-up. We got the Jungle Book room this time.
He said he is right on track for everything! He weighed 20 lbs 15 oz, which put him in the 60th %ile for weight. I can't believe that 40% more babies weigh more than him! Those are some big babies! He is in the 92nd %ile for height (wonder where he gets it?!) and 70th %ile for his cute little noggin'. When people make comments about him it's usually about what a cute shaped head he has, how dark his eyes are, or just how happy he is.
No shots at the appointment, Yay! But he did have his hemoglobin checked. He yelled at the nurse pretty good for poking his heel and wasn't too sure about the band-aids.
At 9 months he is CRAWLING all over the place and will pull himself to STAND on just about anything. He loves FOOD and loves to drink water out of a sippy. He SLEEPS up to 9 HOURS at night, but usally wakes up after 6 or 7. Dr. Zarbock siad "no more eating during the night." Did you hear that Jackson?! He naps very well during the day. He is a very smiley kid and makes friends just about everywhere we go. He's not much of a talker, but can say "mama", "dada".
Here is Londyn at 9 months. What a toe-head! At her 9 month appt, she was not even crawling yet, but she was saying a lot more! A difference between girls and boys I guess. I'm very grateful to have one of each; cute, smart happy ones at that! Love you guys!!

Tulip Festval 2010
We LOVE the Tulip Festival and look forward to it every year. This year we went twice! And since we are now so close to Thanksgiving point, we got a season pass so we can go there, and the farm and dinosaur museum as much as we want! And we can get guests in for 1/2 off, so come on!
The 1st night we went the weather was PERFECT! 80 degress!
Everytime I put Jackson down to take a picture by the tulips he would proceed to eat the dirt. he's ALL BOY!

Easter weekend 2010
This year we started of the weekend with an easter egg hunt at the Home Depot in Draper, followed by free breakfast at IKEA.
Then we headed up to Park City. We had a good time, eventhough it snowed almost nonstop for 3 days! The Easter Bunny managed to find us and left the kids a lot of fun stuff!
It was nice to have some time to just lounge around with the kids! I had to work Sunday night and Cody and to go out of town for 3 days, so the kids and I stayed up there with Cody's parents and had a nice relaxing time! I even made 7 containers of strawberry freezer jam! Yummy!

Easter Pics
This past weekend my little brother and his fiance Nikki came up from St. George so Cody could take their engagement pictures. I was feelin' a little "camera happy" so after church I did a little Easter photo shoot with Jackson in my bedroom. Not bad for a quick 5 minute photo shoot. Plus I finally figured out how to download pictures from Cody's camera to my computer, so I'll be using that camera a lot more!

At 7 months...
...I am doing a lot of new things. I still love food and now I am working on finger foods. My sister shared her pizza crust with me and I thought that was delicious!
When I am in my highchair my mom gives me puffs and I am trying to learn how to pick them up!
The other day I tried a gogurt. I thought it was yummy, but mom thought it was a little too messy.
I am still a really happy guy! I love to roll around on the floor. I have gotten up in the crawling position but I'm not sure how to move yet. This morning I figured out how to clap! I have also decided to sleep more at night. Right now I have 7-8hr stretches. Mom and Dad love it!

FHE
So tonight for Family Home Evening Londyn wanted to do the lesson (her first time). So she told us the story of Jesus getting resurrected. Here is her version:
LONDYN: "Jesus died and they wrapped him in paper and gave a blessing on his head. Then they rolled him into the tomb and Mary came and she was a gardener."
Pretty close?!?! It was cute. She is getting so big!

6 months
On Feb. 4th Jackson turned 6 months! (That went fast!) We were in MN when he turned half a year and then he has been sick, so I am just getting around to doing this post.
At his 6 month check-up he was 6 months and 1 week.
he weighed 19 lbs 4 oz 85th %le
Ht. was 27.6 inches 85th %le
and head was 17.5 inches- 70th%le
He got 4 shots, which he was not happy about. He cried pretty good when he got them, then he stopped and would just start crying again off and on until we got to the car. Poor baby. Luckily he had a nice long nap when we got home. This is him after his nap checking out his bandaid on his leg.At his 6 month check-up he was 6 months and 1 week.

At 6 months he is a pro at sitting up. He loves to sit on the floor and play with toys. He also loves to motor around the kitchen in his walker and jump around like crazy in his jumper. He loves food. He eats all of the vegetables, but squash w/ corn is his favorite. He's not so sure about fruits yet, but he'll eat pieces of a real banana. His Dr. said there are new food guidlines and that the only thing he can't have until he's 1 is honey. So he's tasted yogurt, bread, potato soup, etc... and loves them all.
He's a relly good sleeper during the day. He usually takes 2 good naps, or 3 short naps. He goes down really easy and loves his crib. At night it's a different story! He goes down well, but then he usually wakes up about 45 min. later and needs to ne reswaddled or burped. Then he's up every 2-4 hrs. Uh! I think we'll start letting him cry it out when he's totally over his sickness.
He loves his big sister and thinks she's pretty funny (most of the time!). He loves to grab her and they even roll around together on the bed. He also likes to pull her hair. She doesn't like that too much! On Feb 13th he cut his 1st tooth. He was the exact same age Londyn was when she got her 1st tooth, to the day! He also said his 1st word the other night, "mama"! He was sick and up in the middle of the night. Cody was holding him and trying to get him to stop crying and while he was crying he said "mama"!
I can't believe the first 6 months have come and gone. But I am excited to watch him learn and grow over the next 6 months!

Minnesota
The 1st week of Feb. we went to MN with Cody. He had some business meeting Wed.-Fri. and then the rest of his family came out for the weekend to celebrate his grandma's 90th birthday!
The kids did great on the plane. The hard part was getting through the airport with all of our bags, 2 carseats and a stroller! I'm sure we looked really funny!Londyn had a BLAST playing with her cousin Charlie. He lives in Las Vegas so they don't get to see each other very often.
This is Jackson at the birthday party. He figured out how to put food in his mouth by himself. It was pretty funny. Except he destroyed my roll!
