July-Louisiana

In mid-July the kids and I went down to my parent's in Louisiana for a few days. I knew it was dumb to go in July, but I thought we could atleast swim everyday to beat the heat! Well, it rained everyday! So we got to go once for about 30 min. before it started to rain. Boo!!
But the kids had some good cousin time with my Brother Sheldon's kids!

Ryanne and Londyn loved trying on my old ballet and tap costumes!

And here is Jackson holding the newest addition- baby Gavin (born in June)!

4th of July afternoon

Cody riding my grandpa's sweet bike with Londyn in the basket down to the church for all of festivities. Menan, ID (where my grandma lives) is the tiniest town! They put on a good show for the 4th though!
Caleb, Nikki and Jackson trying to figure out what to eat. They had at least a dozen food stands.

Londyn waiting for the parade to start. She caught a ton of tootsie rolls, taffy and even chocolate milk!

We also got to spend some time with our good friends the Taylors. The used to live in Louisiana when I was in Middle school and I babysat their oldest son Mitchell when he was a baby (he's not in the picture b/c he was in Cleveland). They live in Rexburg now because Brig works for BYU-I.

4th of July Morning

We were in Idaho at my Grandma's house for the 4th of July weekend and had such a fun time. The morning for the 4th we got up early and went to the park to watch my grandma sing the national anthem.
That was followed by the annual pancake breakfast. YUM!

The kids found the teeter totter and did not want to get off of it. It was a cool old school one.

And her is J chugging down his 2nd chocolate milk while sitting on my grandpa's sweet bike!

July- Family Reunion

On July 2nd, we had a family Reunion ( my mom's dad's side of the family) in good 'ole Pocatello, Idaho at Ross Park. It was a nice hot sunny day and so fun to see all the fam! Here is Jackson with Grandma Liz (aka- grandmamamama)
The kids loved the fish pond that Aunt Teri and Brynlee did!

Playing bingo.

And one tuckered out little boy!

Pincess Festival

So Londyn's cute cousin Mikayla had tickets to the Daddy/Daughter ball for the Princess Festival and ended up not being able to go, so she let Londyn go in her place, and borrow the dress she was going to weaqr.
She had a BLAST! Thanks again Mikayla (and Ashley!).

Dancing again

After taking a year off, Londyn started dance again this summer at Danceology and loves it! She did ballet, jazz and tumbling for 6 weeks and now is in it again for year! She has already improved so much!

Practicing at home, which she does ALL the time! So cute! It's so fun to have a little girl who loves to dance. Brings back memories!

June- Company Party

For the last few years Cody's Company's summer party has been at Lagoon and we have loved it every year and really look forward to it. This year they changed things up a bit and we went to Park City instead.
It turned out to be a lot of fun. We started off with a Catered lunch and then headed outside to play! Thekids both loved the Alpine slide, and so did I! I hadn't been on one since I was...hmmm, I don't remember how old I was! Long time ago, in Jackson Hole.

And they both loved the trampolines. I was a little surprised Jackson did it. Ever since then he has had a hop in his step. No joke. When he runs put a little jump in it, more like a gallop!

Action shot on the Alpine slide.

Thank goodness for a strong daddy. He had to carry the sleds pretty far from the chairlift to the slide. We also had a blast on the roller coaster (that my uncle Fred helped weld!) and the other little kiddy carnival type rides. Thanks again Infuse for a great summer party!

June- Cooking Class

In June (and July) Londyn went to Cooking Class! She got this cute hat and apron and learned how to make things like soft pretzels, popcorn balls, mini carmel apples, pizza and dessert pizza! ( I am a bad mom and forgot to take pictures of her food-oops!)

June- Jackson and the Pizza

One day when Cody was out of town for work in June I took the kids to the Highland splashpad and wore them out! On the way home we picked up a little Cesaer's Pizza and ate it outside when we got home. Here are some of the many faces of Jackson while eating his pizza.

June- Landscaping

My nice neighbor invited Londyn to come play with her little girl, so I thought I'd take some time to do a much needed blog update!
In June, we finally got our front yard landscaping done. We bought 2 new aspen trees, 3 day lilies, and a truck load (literaly) of small and large rocks (that were all mixed together so I had to sort them so I could get the design I wanted. Not as easy as I thought it would be!)
But it looks so much better! We had bark last year (that the HOA put down on top of my newly planted flowers and killed) and we did not like it at all. Plus it's so windy up here that most of it blew into our neighbors' yards anyway!

Wow, I need to take and updated picture, all the plants have grown so much since June!
And there's Jackson watching the guy edge across the street.
