ThAnKsGiViNg

This year for Turkey day we headed up to Idaho to my grandma's house. We hadn't been there since Londyn was Jackson's age. We had a great time. We left early Thursday morning and got there just in time for lunch. There were 25 family members (i think!) there so it was a good time!
The pies this year were great! Londyn really did love the pumpkin pie, eventhough you can't tell by her blank face! My favorites this year were the apple and the chocolate!
Me and my Girl and Boy!
Some of my cousins- Megan and Josh (from Boise) and the twins, Sam and Karli (from Pocatello).
Friday night we watched the Boise game at my Uncle Dave and Aunt Gracie's house and Sam was very proud of herself for getting Jackson to sleep. She's only 7, but she loves babies!
We came home Saturday morning and didn't have to stop once. The kids did great in the car! We had a great Thanksgiving and have so much to be grateful for.

Circus Baby

Cody and Jackson have a new trick.
He LOVES to balance in Cody's hands like this!
He gets super stiff and just smiles REALLY big! Makes me a little nervous sometimes, but it's SO funny!

Tummy Time

Thinking this "tummy time" thing isn't too bad!
" I think I'll take a break and chew on my arm!"
"Ok, mom, seriously, I am done!"

My new trick

So Londyn has pretty much given up her nap these days. But since day light savings she has been getting up SUPER early, so she still really needs a nap on most days. The last 2 days I have gotten her to fall asleep lke this! She got this Halloween Book on CD in a kids meal from Wendy's and we just found it. She loves it. So after lunch I get her a pillow and a blanket and she lays down next to the CD player to listen to it, and within 10 minutes she's out! And it's perfect because she only sleeps for about an hour and a half, so she still goes to bed early and I get a little break!

Love this little boy! He is such a fun, happy baby! But he's getting too big, too fast!

Baking with Sour Cream

Two of my favorite recipes call for sour cream, and they are YUMMY! So I thought I would share them.

Sour Cream Banana Bread
Cinnamon Sugar
3/4 C. Butter, softened (6T if 1/2ing the recipe)
3C. white sugar
3 eggs (2 if 1/2ing recipe)
6 ripe bananas
16 oz. sour cream
2 t. vanilla
2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
3 t. baking soda
4 1/2 C. flour

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Dust greased pans ( I like to use mini loaf pans) with cinnamon sugar. Cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Add salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Bake 45-60 min (depending on your oven and loaf pan size).

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

1 C. unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
5 C. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 C sour cream

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add, alternating with the sour cream. Refrigerate dough (at least 30 min.). Roll out, cut out and bake 9-11 min. ( I usually do 9 min. because I like them soft!) Ice with Royal icing.
